Okay, now that you have had a chance to see and experience some of the wonderful things that happen Only at Hyde, it's time to talk. Whether or not you’re ready to consider admission to any boarding school, consider speaking with one of our professionals who can help you find your way to a decision that is best for your teenager and family—no matter what direction you choose to take.

Does your situation read anything like this?

Parents:

  • You want to raise children of strong character.
  • You seek a challenging, college preparatory program for your teen.
  • You are willing to participate in the educational process of your teen.
  • You strive to grow a family with strong principles that stands for something great.
  • You may not envision sending your teen to a boarding school.
  • You have high expectations and you are willing to grow.

Students:

  • You’re a high-achiever who feels a sense of hollowness over the fact that your current school places more value on achievement than it does on becoming a person of quality.
  • You were once successful in school, but you're performing poorly or not at your best, behaving badly, or both.
  • You know you need to change, but you’re more comfortable staying in your current situation.
  • Your school doesn’t expect enough from you or meet your needs.
  • You’re stuck in an environment where you’re being encouraged to avoid meaningful challenges that might threaten your GPA.

The Hyde Wilderness Program, located on Hyde's Black Wilderness Preserve property in Eustis, Maine, is the perfect place for students and families to experience spectacular views and catch glimpses of abundant wildlife, while they learn the value of facing awesome outdoor challenges.

Summer Challenge is for teenagers, ages 14 - 18, who are looking for fun and challenging experiences. This summer program for teens blends thrilling outdoor experiences with a dynamic character development program in which teens have the opportunity to connect with the positive influences that will drive them toward reaching their highest potential.

Experiential sums up what Hyde’s Summer X is all about. Students may find themselves hammered by high-altitude wind and rain, rocked by the Atlantic Ocean’s waters, and balancing themselves on the peaks of some of New England’s highest mountains. Despite all of that, participants say it is by far one of the most exciting and exhilarating experiences of their lives. (For Current Hyde Students Only)
