What’s up with Disco?

No, not the polyester pants that cling to John Travolta in Saturday Night Fever.

More like the ancient proverb, It takes a village to raise a child.

At Hyde we call that “village” Disco. Each student and faculty member is a part of a discovery group that meets once a week. One week the group members might talk about obstacles that took them off-track, while another week they might head out for ice cream and then a winter walk on the beach. One thing remains true to Disco—the common goal among all who Disco with you is helping you reach your best.

Check out what Disco means to Hyde students.

“My disco is my family away from home.”
~ Alex McCormack '09

“Disco allows me to see myself through the eyes of others.”
~ Pierce MacGuire '10

"My disco group is really supportive, but also challenges me when I need it."
~Zoe Dorian, '10

" I feel really comfortable in the disco, I feel like I can talk about anything and it's a great way to get things off your chest if you're having a bad day."
~Bryce Sherman, '09

Imagine...

…A graduation…
— where every graduate speaks;
— where the parents receive diplomas;
— where some alumni return to receive their diplomas.

…A performing arts production with the whole school in the cast.

…A dining room where students, teachers, and staff all eat together.

…An assembly where each student, teacher, and parent sings a solo.

…A school where the students evaluate their teachers...live.

...Only at Hyde
